She was born Jan. 10, 1930, in St. Louis to the late John and Naida Kistner Peek. She and John Crites were married Oct. 8, 1948, at the Maple Avenue Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Velma graduated from Jackson High School in 1948 and married John in October of that year. She worked at Thorngate in Cape Girardeau for 22 years.
In 1963, Sherry graduated from Woodville High School. For many years she was an integral part of the 4th of July event planning in Woodville. She worked as an executive secretary for Catholic Charities, Glenn Graffice & Son, and later retired from the Sandusky County Clerk of Courts.

Mike was active in Boy Scouts, Optimist Club baseball and Babe Ruth League, where he made lifelong friends. In the spring of 1967, Bill McComas was transferred to the Montgomery Ward store in Sheridan, Wyoming.
A lifelong resident of Greensboro, she graduated from Greensboro High School and on June 4, 1959 she married Reese Smith who was the former Sheriff of Greene County. Douglas Colin Tutcher, age 79, passed away on December 7th, 2022 at his Lake Sinclair home. Born in Douglas County Kansas, he was the son of Ernest and Margaret Tutcher. He joined the Air Force on January 2, 1962 and proudly served for 22 years.
